South-facing, with stunning uninterrupted views of the surrounding hills, the house benefits from maximum sunshine all year round and unrivalled access to the outdoors. It is a tranquil haven in the mountains, away from the hustle & bustle of everyday life. Come here to unwind, enjoy some excellent cycling, and spend time with family and friends enjoying the good things in life.

There are spectacular mountain views from every aspect of Chez Montagnes. Watch the changing colours of the lush hills as the sun rises and sets from the balcony or your bedroom.

Description of the surrounding area

The Aude region is made up of a wide variety of landscapes from sea to mountains, beautiful to visit in any season. It is the ultimate cycling destination, the sunny roads take in Cathar castles, vineyards, wild gorges, lakes and breathtaking views.

Puivert itself is an ideal base from which to explore the entire picturesque region of the Pyrenean piedmont plateau if you tire of lounging by the pool! It's ideal for families and cycling groups.

From our doorstep there's no shortage of road to ride, hills to climb, ascents and descents into beautiful French villages nearby, plus lots of challenging MTB loops - details on local races below.

As well as local lakes for swimming, fishing and boating, there is an aerodrome down the road for glider flights, several adventure parks and world-class white water sports in Quillan.

Apart from the Tour, there's several races in Quillan (20 mins by car):
- International Critérium of Quillan brings together the biggest names in cycling held in August, after the TdF.
- The Carach Bike, MTB/VTT cross country competition (May) and brings together the best riders in the region.
- 3 Quilles MTB Round (Sept/Oct) with 3 magnificent circuits.
